• Whether you choose the unique Spiral wrap or the Conventional wrap each rod is built with the same components and care. Only top Quality Components are use with each and every rod.
• We coat behind every guide for a stronger hold in keeping the guides straight and from corrosion getting behind the thread. We use only Flex Coat Products.
• Every rod has the reel seat aligned with the spine of the blank which eliminates the twist at the tip, allowing each hook set to have the power and response expected when fishing for that trophy.
• Each blank is put through a rigorous flex test inspection to ensure there are no visible defects. This test is done at the blank factory and then again before the rod is assembled.
• Following the build process each Sidewinder Rod is put through a final inspection to provide the angler with a fishing rod that he or she can depend upon for a lifetime.

How To Choose Your Texas Sidewinder Rod

Action and Power Action and power, when used in connection with fishing rods, are often misused. Action is simply put, the way a rod or blank bends. This is described by four different terms: Extra Fast: Flex in the upper 1/4 of the rod blank. Fast: Flex in the upper 1/3 of the rod blank. Moderate: Flex in the upper 1/2 of the rod blank. Slow: Flex is from the lower 1/3 of the rod blank. Power is best described as the amount of energy or force that is needed to make a rod blank bend. Our Cork fits snug to the blank without tape to reduce the excess epoxy for a better feel in your hand and an overall weight reduction for those really long days on the water.
Texas Sidewinder Rods still use only top quality Titanium Oxide Guides on all of our rods. This allows fishermen a unique difference in durability and sensitivity over the standard steel guides in the market place today.
All of our casting rods utilize the Full Exposed Blank Thru Reel Seats for better feel and sensitivity. Each reel seat is bored to a tapered fit to fit the taper of the blank. No tape or fillers are used.
Texas Sidewinder Rods uses Titanium Oxide Hook Keepers that will allow you to store your bait right on the rod. This design will not rust and is more durable than the plastic or rubber keepers that are used on some rods.

Black Diamond Rods

The Black Diamond is our newest line of rods. The blank is 98% graphite and is textured. All Black Diamonds have our standard guides and come in a standard wrap of black with pearl accent. The blank thru reel seat, titanium oxide guides. The cork handle is the same as our standard rod. This blank is a little stronger than the standard blank, as it has slightly more graphite it in. It is made by the same company in Arkansas that makes our standard blank and carries the same warranty.

Spinning Rods

This is the new spinning rod that has been added to our line of rods. The hump back reel seat makes handling fish a lot easier. Looking for something different? Then try this.

TSR Series Surf Rods

The TSR series is our newest line of rods. They come in both Light and Medium Light Action. Please specify when ordering. The blank is 97% graphite. All TSR Rods have chrome guides and come in a standard wrap of Metallic Red with Silver or Gold accent. The blank thru reel seat, titanium oxide guides. The cork handle is the same as our standard rod. We use only the best components on all of our rods. This blank is a little stronger than the standard blank, as it has slightly more graphite it in. It is made by the same company in Arkansas that makes our standard blank and carries the same warranty. This rod is a very popular with the surf fishermen. Looking for something different?
